Terms of use
The rules for the adult Red Half Lab service, original and third-party content, voluntary support, refunds and disputes.
Draft last checked:
1. Operator, website and status
Red Half Lab is operated by Pumpkin Active LTD, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, England. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company operating the website redhalflab.com. For questions, complaints, privacy requests or refunds, email contact@redhalflab.com, or write to the address above.
These terms cover the site’s articles, REDS answers, local match challenge and optional one-off support. They do not grant access to private experiments or datasets, and do not incorporate another project merely because it has the same owner. The intended markets are the United Kingdom, United States and European Union.
The service is intended for adults aged at least 18, who also have any legal capacity required for the transaction where they live. It is not directed at minors. The current website does not collect a date of birth or verify every visitor’s age. An adult-audience rule is not evidence of technical age verification.
Review draft, updated on 24 October 2026. The operator, contact details, support purpose and five-day refund policy have been supplied by the operator. The support merchant is Pumpkin Active LTD. English is the authoritative language, and the governing-law and jurisdiction provision below has been approved by the operator. Production settings still need checking; the effective date will be set at public launch. This is not an announcement of public launch or a claim that reading a page binds you to every unapproved draft provision.
2. An independent football project
Red Half Lab presents football analysis and explanations for people interested in Liverpool. It is an independent project, not an official Liverpool Football Club or Premier League service, and does not claim their endorsement or a partnership with them.
Names of clubs, players and competitions identify the subjects discussed. References to a name, mark, source or external service do not transfer rights in it or imply that its owner has approved the project. Rights in third-party material remain with the relevant rightsholders.
3. What a prediction means
REDS estimates match events and answers defined football questions using the available information. A forecast expresses uncertainty. It does not promise a result, prove a player’s overall ability or guarantee that the available data are complete.
Read the relevant fixture, competition, date, conditions and limitations with the answer. A probability conditional on appearing is different from the probability of appearing. A historical example in an article is different from the latest forecast. A value expressly marked as an illustration is not an actual prediction.
A genuine pre-match lock records a prediction before kick-off. A later reconstruction or an answer without a matching lock must not be presented as equivalent evidence. Post-match checks can be delayed while detailed data become available, and a later training run does not rewrite the original forecast. Not every content item follows the same update schedule.
The articles explain how to interpret the outputs; they do not certify a particular accuracy rate, promise that a forecast beats an alternative in every period, or guarantee future performance. Where an answer is unavailable or uncertain, keep that qualification when quoting it.
4. Betting and financial decisions
The website’s predictions are provided for football discussion and understanding. They are not betting recommendations, investment advice or personal financial advice. The site does not promise profitable betting, offer guaranteed returns or ask a visitor to treat a prediction as a safe wager.
Do not use a displayed percentage as a guarantee or as a reason to stake money you cannot afford to lose. A correct prediction in one match does not establish a profitable strategy. Optional support for the project is separate from any sporting outcome and does not buy a guaranteed result.
5. Reading, linking and sharing original material
You may browse the available pages and share links to them. The site’s existing permission to share screenshots is limited to material Red Half Lab is entitled to permit you to use. Keep the source credit and enough context to identify the page, date and meaning of the output.
When sharing an extract of the project’s original explanatory text or a screenshot of an original presentation, credit Red Half Lab and link to the page where practical. Preserve uncertainty labels, conditions and the date of the answer. Do not alter a forecast to suggest a different result or imply the project endorses your publication.
This permission is not a licence to republish whole articles, mirror the website, sell its content, incorporate it into a commercial product or redistribute the underlying datasets. Uses outside the permission need an applicable legal right or permission from the relevant rightsholder. Statutory rights and exceptions remain unaffected.
6. Third-party material, individual authors and permissions
Original explanation, a predicted output, an underlying dataset, a quotation and a third-party image can carry different rights. Credit to Red Half Lab cannot grant rights the project does not hold.
Where public material or data are used, retain the source, licence, link and named individual author or creator where the applicable permission or attribution rules require them. Do not replace a required personal-author credit with the project name. If an individual author is not established, we do not invent one or claim that a generic project credit meets every requirement.
A public webpage is not proof of commercial permission. Nor does a broad comparison or a derived output establish permission to redistribute the source statistics. No general dataset, open-data or commercial licence is granted by these terms.
The data and sources page explains our publication approach, rather than granting a third party’s rights. Follow any specific verified licence for the relevant item. Permission to share an original screenshot does not resolve uncertain rights in embedded third-party material. Rights concerns and author-credit corrections can be sent to our contact email with the page and supporting source.
7. Acceptable use and automated access
Do not interfere with the site’s operation, attempt unauthorised access, bypass access or rate limits, or use the site to send malicious or unlawful material. Do not use automated tools to bulk collect pages or numbers, mirror the service or reconstruct a restricted dataset from repeated requests.
Endpoints used by the website to retrieve a selected answer are part of its delivery mechanism. Their existence does not provide a separate public bulk-data service, a promise of continued API compatibility or permission to circumvent the restrictions above.
If a feature is restricted or unavailable, do not treat another route or a private service as an invitation to bypass that restriction. Nothing here requires a visitor to give up rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
8. Local interactions and saved choices
Reading the current site does not require an account. Match-challenge choices are stored in the current browser, without cross-device account synchronisation. Clearing the relevant site data removes that browser’s choices and progress. There is no account recovery for those local records.
The current challenge does not offer post-match settlement, cash prizes or a right to payment. Agreeing with REDS is a comparison of choices, not a settled result or a financial entitlement. This draft does not introduce a points redemption scheme, subscription benefit or paid contest.
See the privacy policy for the local-storage behaviour and the separate handling of searches and network requests. Avoid entering personal or confidential information in the REDS content search.
9. Voluntary support, use of funds and acknowledgement
When available and configured, support is an optional one-off payment through Stripe Checkout. The current options are £2, £5 or a custom amount within the accepted limits. Check the total and currency before completing checkout. Your payment provider may impose its own conversion or other charges, which the site cannot promise to control.
Support helps fund continued research into the projects, servers and hosting, maintenance and other project operating costs. It does not buy a prediction result, editorial influence, access to a private dataset, shares in the company, a subscription or an obligation to deliver a particular research milestone. The current feature does not set up a recurring charge. Existing content can be read without supporting the project.
The successful-payment confirmation page provides a thank-you acknowledgement. We do not automatically publish a supporter’s billing name, email, payment reference or amount. You choose whether to make your name public, with no public named acknowledgement unless you opt in. Under the current manual process, email us your chosen display name and explicit permission to publish it. You can also email to withdraw that choice and request removal from a page we control. We do not take your billing name as the public name. Making a payment is not consent to disclose your identity publicly.
We do not claim charitable status or tax deductibility for this payment. “Support” describes its purpose, not a tax classification. The current checkout is arranged through Stripe, with Pumpkin Active LTD as the support merchant. The statement descriptor and enabled payment methods must be checked against the actual account before live collection is offered.
You can leave checkout before completing payment. A return to the site alone does not prove that a payment succeeded. The confirmation page checks the Stripe session and can show a pending or unavailable status. If uncertain, check your payment record before retrying so that you do not pay twice.
10. Five-day change-of-mind refunds and payment problems
If you change your mind, email contact@redhalflab.com within five days of the successful support payment to request a refund. We will refund a verified payment covered by this voluntary policy. A change of mind does not require an explanation about your opinion of the project.
Include the payment date, amount and currency, and the receipt or transaction reference if available. Sending from the email used at checkout can help us locate it. Do not send a complete card number, security code, password or a public copy of the private checkout return URL. We may request only proportionate additional information needed to locate and verify the transaction.
The five days are the period for sending the request, not a promise that the bank will have credited the refund by day five. Refunds are handled by email and through the payment provider; the website does not currently have an automated refund form. We will confirm the handling and use the original payment method where the provider permits it. The final credit time depends on the provider, payment method and bank, so no fixed completion time is promised here.
Contact us promptly about a duplicate, mistaken or unauthorised payment, even if the five-day change-of-mind period has passed. You can also use your payment provider’s established dispute route. We do not promise the outcome of an external dispute, and Stripe’s role does not remove the company’s responsibilities.
This five-day policy is an additional voluntary offer. It does not shorten any applicable statutory cancellation period, refund entitlement, chargeback right or other mandatory protection. We do not assert that calling a payment voluntary support removes all consumer rights, or that an acknowledgement is a waiver of those rights. Any applicable longer right will be respected.
11. Accuracy, availability and responsibility
Source data can arrive late, omit events or contain errors. Forecasts and explanations can be wrong. Maintenance, a source failure or another operational issue can temporarily interrupt a feature. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular result, a response-time guarantee or a fixed publication timetable.
Use the answer’s date and scope rather than assuming an old page describes current coverage. Material editorial corrections should remain visible, and an article’s correction log does not permit overwriting the historical pre-match forecast.
The service is provided for personal football discussion. It is not designed for a business to depend on for revenue, trading, betting or a guaranteed operational decision. Any limitation permitted by law must be read with the protections that apply to the actual service and user. No blanket exclusion of all direct losses or fixed monetary cap is introduced in this draft.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where that liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited. The five-day refund offer and applicable statutory rights are not removed by an availability or accuracy qualification.
12. Other services, changes and language
External sites and Stripe checkout use the relevant providers’ terms and privacy practices. A link does not guarantee their availability or endorse everything they publish. The company’s operation of Futrix Metrics does not mean the two sites have the same accounts, payment products, providers or tracking configuration.
Our Privacy Policy explains personal information and requests, and the Cookies Policy explains device storage and choices. A privacy notice describes processing; merely linking it does not create consent to a new optional activity.
For material changes, we will use an appropriate notice on the site and, where a relevant direct contact relationship exists, a suitable direct notice where required. New terms should identify when they take effect. An editorial update should not retrospectively narrow the refund policy applicable to an earlier payment, and a date change is not a substitute for agreement where agreement is required.
The English version of these terms is authoritative. The Chinese version is provided as a translation; if the versions differ, the English wording controls. No translation rule overrides mandatory consumer or privacy protections. The effective date will be set when the site launches publicly. The revision date above is not the effective date.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Any mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights available to a consumer under the law applicable where they habitually live remain unaffected. An eligible consumer can use a court available to them under those mandatory rules.
This provision does not impose compulsory arbitration, a class-action waiver or a requirement to abandon a regulator complaint.
To raise an ordinary dispute, email contact@redhalflab.com with the relevant page or transaction and the outcome you seek. We will consider the issue and explain our response. This internal route does not require you to give up urgent remedies, payment-provider processes or mandatory court rights.
14. Contact and finalisation

The remaining checks concern the live Stripe statement descriptor and payment methods, production providers and logging. The effective date is deliberately reserved for public launch. Those remaining items do not undo the operator’s confirmed contact, adult audience, use-of-support explanation or voluntary five-day refund policy in this draft. No public deployment or legal sign-off is claimed.
